POISON TRAGEDY

After spending Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the city two men employed on .M: C. Connor's farm at Eaorikia, fifteen miles tip the Wanganui 'Biveri wero suffering from headaches.! They looked round for medicine, and found .powders in an old waistcoat pocket. This they agreed was what they wanted, but it turned out to bo strychnine.
One man, William Davis, a widower, with two children, succumbed within a minute, and the other, Thomas M'Guire, is in hospital. His condition is not considered dangerous.
