MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., preside?! at the Magistrate's Court to-day. * One nrst-onending inebriate was fined 10s, another ss, and a. third was con.victed and discharged. John Maddock, a third offender for drunkenness, was fined £1, Joseph MurShy, a .second-offending inebriate was ned 10s. A fine of £1 waß imposed on James Ernest Sutton, who made his second appearance for drunkenness. James Quinn, who assaulted a waitress in Courtenay place, was fined £2, in default fourteen days' imprisonment. For using obscene language he was fined
£5. James Gibson Briant was fined a total of £4 for a breach of his probationary license, and for taking liquor while prohibited. , .
James Houghton was fined £2 for using indecent language, and was fined a similar' amount for resisting a constable.
