DE LUXE THEATRE.

"Peter Pan" has been eminently successful at the De Luxe Theatre at tho daily matinees, and it will be continued until New Yeer'B Eve (Thursday). The delightful story should be seen by all children and adults too. The star part is played by Betty Bronson. A special feature, "Old Home Week," featuring Thomas Meighan, and Lila Lee will be screened during the coming week. This photoplay is rich in story and dramatic situations. In addition, Stereoscopiks No. 2, entirely different to the ones already seen, will be shown, and a big supporting programme. The box plans are at The Bristol, Aitken's Book Arcade, or ring theatre. "THE WHITE SISTER." "The White Sister" is superb. Nothing more beautiful has ever been brought to the screen. It is a wonderful in its conception and presentation, and in its acting it is a masterpiece the like of which Wellington has not been given an opportunity of witnessing before. Lilian Gisk, if there was doubt about it before, must now be conceded the right to the title of the screen's greatest emotional actress. The image of the wonderful figure that this actress makes of the little'White Sister must remain a vivid memory for a long time with all who see the film. She throws over the whole movement of a story that attains the heights of the greatest dramatic power the lure of a wonderful personality that dominates' everything throughout the picture. The story is a most engrossing one, with a wealth of arresting incident that keeps the attention rivetted on the screen and compels an attitude of constant expectancy. The portrayal of the eruption of Vesuvius i* splendidly done, not only as to the great upheaval itself, but also as to the representation of the great streams of lava rolling down themounaiu sides and over-, whelming the villages below. Just ai impressive is the bursting of the great dam that floods the countryside and causes widespread havoc. '"Ihe White Sister" will be screened for the first time at the De Luxe Theatre on Friday. A special musical programme lias been arranged, and an elaborate prologue will bo staged. The box plans aro now open at The Bristol, Aitkeu's Book Arcade, or riug the theatre.
