An inquest on William Davis, who died through taking strycunins in mistake for. aspirin, it was disclosed that the deceased and his mate, Thorns M'Guirc, were suffering 1 from the after-effects of liquor, and were in a bad way. They had already drunk the contents of a gallon jar of yeast, and were searching for something to relievo them when they found the bottle of strychnine in the vest pocket of the acting-manager, who carried it about with him for safety, having taken it over from the previous manager, who left before Christmas. Davis died in a f-w minutes. M'Guire is making a comparatively good recovery. The acting-manager liberally dosed him with salt and water until tho doctor arrived.
