Thursday, iilst December, tho usual doliveries will be made by postmen. In addition letters (Including registered) usually delivered by postmen in the city and suburbs will be delivered on application at the Postmen's P.ranch. Chief Post Olllce (entrance upstiiira from Featheiston street) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office may bo obtained upon application until 8 p.m. The posting-boxes in tile city and suburbs will be cleared as usual at midnight.
Friday, Ist January (Xew Year's Day), the Post Office will be closed in all branches.
Mails for dispatch by trains for- Wairnrapa, Hawkes Bay, Jlanawa'tii, Raugitikei, Wnngnnui, aud Tarauaki districts, will close at (i a.m ; for Auckland and district, South Island, and all mails dispatched by steamers at S a.m.
