Heavy showers set in during the concluding day of the Dunedin Summer Meeting and made the going a bit slippy for the concluding events. The racing was interesting, and the financial returns showed a substantial increase over last year's figures. Although Projector outclassed the opposition in the Summer Hurdles, he was allowed to pay quite a good price in the Milburn Hurdles. Vice Grand again tried to shirk the first hurdle, and fell over the wing. Relic was carrying
