INDUSTRIAL PETONE
GOVERNMENT SECTIONS SOLD.
The Commissioner for Croyrn Lands (Mr. Thds. Brook) this morning disposed of two industrial sections at Petone. Section 2 consisted of 5 acres 1 rood 17.43' perches. The upset price was £5350. There was but one bidder, Mr. S. George Nathan, as agent. The land 'was knocked down to him at the upset price. Section 3, of 5 acres 2 roods 23.07 perches, upset price £5600, also had a single bidder, Standard Porcelains, Limited (New Zealand). Both sections, it is understood, will shortly have factories built upon them, and the v proposed works will employ a fair number of workers. The sections 'are situated close to the gasworks.
