LODGE MEETINGS

The fortnightly meeting of O-Kiwi-Iti-Eebekah Lodge No. 44, 1.0.0.F., N.Z., Eastbourne, was held last Monday evening, Sister G. C. Jones, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance of members, Sister E. Maley, P.N.G., L.D.D.G.M., also being present. A committee was set up in connection with local 1.0.0.F. Christmas tree for the children.

Wellesley Lodge, No. 7 (Juvenile branch), L0.0.F., N.Z., Wellington, held its regular meeting last Monday evening, Bro. L. Mackay, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance, a number of adult members also being present. In view of the proximity of Armistice Day, the flag ceremony of the Order, adopted by Sovereign Grand Lodge at the 1924 session, was carried out by the prescribed officers (Bros. L. Mackay, N.G., J. O'Brien, Conductor, L. P. Peters, Warden, and H. Woolcott, I.G ) in an. impressive manner, under the auspices of the president (Bro. H. H. Meech, P.G.) The lodge then held a most enjoyable social, a large number of friends and relatives of the lads attending. Items were rendered by Miss Zeta. Hare, Bros. Pilcher, Josephs, and Peters, Miss Smith, Bro. Hare, and Bro. Woolcott. A wheelbarrow race, several guessing competitions, dances, and supper completed the programme. The fortnightly meeting of Bellevue Lodge No. 126, 1.0.0.F., N.Z., Lower Hutt, was held last Tuesday evening, Bro. C. H. Breach, N.G., presiding. There •was a good attendance; Bros. H. Danes, P.G., D.D.G.M., F. J. Jones, P.G., District Treasurer, and W. J. Brondin, P.0., J. W. Pearson, N.G., G. Bugg and B. Little (of Heretaunga Lodge), also 1 being present. Six candidates were liomihated, tlie report of Social Committee- on recent social waa received, and it was decided to transfer meeting to St: James's Hall on Monday nights fortnightly. A gold emblem was donated for members introducing most candidates during next term. Hose of Wellington Eebelcah Lodge, No. 38, 1.0.0.F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting last Tuesday evening, Sister D. Rickard, N.G., presiding. Ono lady candidate and three members of male lodges were nominated for membership. Sister D. Schon, V.G., read a very interesting letter from the chaplain of one of the Rebekah lodges in California, and after completing general business the lodge went into harmony. The fortnightly meeting of Star of Carterton Lodge, No. 129, 1.0.0.F., N.Z., was held last Wednesday evening, Bro. Barrett, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance of members, Bros. F. W. A. Coley, secretary, Waipawa Lodge No. 99 (Masterton), 0. L. Jansen, Huanganua Lodge No. 130 (Martinborough), and G. 1?. Rudkin, P.G., District Lodge^ No. 5, Wollingtou, also being present. Two can'didates were initiated in regular form, and two others wero elected for initiation at subsequent meeting. Bro. Rudkin conveyed fraternal greetings from city arid suburban lodges, and gavo a resume of the proceedings of the Order in tlio district and Dominion 1. ■ Cleveland Lodgo No. 13. 1.0.0.1'., N.A. Brooklyn, held its fortnightly mooting last AVcdnesday evening. Bro. T. J. Hodges, N.G., presiding. There was u good nttcmlance of members, mid Bvo. J. H.
