A LUCKY ESCAPE,
Four men had ;l narrow escape from drowning about a mile off shore ai Day's Cay yesterday afternoon. They put' out in a. small yacht with full sail set, but the confused sea, and the strong .southerly wind pro veil too much for the craft and she capsized. The captain (if the ferry steaniei 1 Cobar, which was about to leave for the city, noticed the men in difficulties, and mado for the scene of the accident. Tlio unfortunate men were rescued and landed at Bonn Bay, but they were severely shaken by 'the. misadventure, and some had to bu assistod to their homes.
An eye-witness of the accident stated that in his opinion the men were foolish to put out in such conditions as pro vailed. In his opinion had the Cobar not been handy, and but for the prompt action of the. captain, the yachtsmen would probably have been drowned.
During yesterday, afternoon a.n East Harbour fisijennan endeavoured to locale the yacht, but his efforts were unsuccessful. ]* is believed that the yacht drifted out towa-ds Somes Island."
