"JOB CONTROL" AGAIN

COASTAL STEAMERS DELAYED

MELBOURNE, 27th October. Another instance of what is regarded as job control is reported. On the Huddart-Parker steamer Werribee, at Geelong, trouble arose over a fireman, resulting in the crew refusing to lake the vessel to sea. The Werribee is consequently tied up.

(Received 27th October, 11 a.m.)

SYDNEY, This Day. The owners state that the holding up of the Ulimaroa, Karoola, and Wei'ribee are proof that the agreement made iv August with the Seamen's Union, which it was stated would end job control, is beginning to share the fate of previous agreements and undertakings entered into by the Seamen's Union, and that job control is again being exercised.
