RANUI TOURNAMENT
Players from Palmerston North, Levin, "Waiwetu, Hutt, Miramar, Karori, and Morniugton competed at tho Kanui tournament yesterday, the links being well filled. Tho weather was cold, and though the course had received special attention, the scores 'were low in the biting southerly. Tho best card returned was that of J. T. Bowness, who did an 80, a remarkably fine card in tho conditions, whon bogey (77) has seldom been beaten by amateurs. A 7 at Sloane's Fancy spoilt it. Eana Wagg had an 8 in his outward run of 43, but came back in 38.
J. T. Bowuess took two trophies," for the best score in tho morning's bogey match and for the best individual score. A. I. Murray won the afternoon bogey handicap, and E. W. Clark took the cup for the best aggregate score.
