■The Wellington Rugby Football Club held its annual smoke concert on Satur: day evening, Mn G. C. Fache presiding over a large attendance, which included many old members and players; :. i: '. Various' speakers during .the - evening referred" to Hie. club's good part in the game and to the progress—which was, being made,, with special to the manner:in which the,younger players: were-: being .encouraged. Mention was made, by Mr. G. v. Weir, (dub captaii)) that .the club was < represented r by.'twelve teams in <]the local'.competi-' tibns ■> this ;Sea'son, and this number he .belieyed to be tjje highest' for any club in'N^w Zealiind.' •.. ..•,-.. .. ■
