NEW YORK, 4th September
Thousands of souvenir hunters swooped upon the wreckage- of the Shenaiidoah with saws and hatchets, pilfering and wrecking. Two companies of militia w;cre sent to guard the remains, <but found nothing to guard except. the gigantic motors. The cabin furniture had been chopped out, the silvery fabric had been cut up, and lengths of the structure had been hacked away. :
