IN THE COUNCIL
Yesterday was perhaps the most productive day this session in the Legislative Council.
The Wellington City Empowering Bill, the Animals Protection and Game Amendment Bill, tho Imprest Supply Bill No. 3, and the Ecnt Restriction Continuance Bill were put through their final stages and passed, while several other measures were sped on their way. The Marine^ and Power Engineers' Institute Incorporation Bill, introduced by the Hon. W. Earnshaw, was read the first time. It merely provides for the incorporation of the institute and its branches.
The Council adjourned until Wednesday next..
