, > —.— The Wellington and district amateur billiard championship commences in Billiards, Limited, showrooms, on Monday evening at 7 o'clock. There are twenty-one- entries this year, and some really good games can be expected. Messrs. Billiards, Limited, have erected a very fine special match table. The club . nominating the. winner holds tho shiold for one year, the winner receives a gold medal, tho runner-up tho sot of balls the tournament is played with, and the maker of the highest break outside a prize-winner a specially selected cue and case. Tho draw for Monday night is :—7 p.m., Duncan (Working Men's Club) plays Bromley (Public. 'Service 'Association) ; about 8.15 p.m., J'eid (Workins; Men's Club) plays Tucker (Federal Club.)
