, WAIRARAPA <CT rELEGRAPB.—SPECIAL TO TBB POST.) MASTERTON, This Day. A general meeting of shareholders of the No. 1 Workers' Mutual Benefit Building Society was held last night. The chairman (Mr. B. Krahagen) stated that only four shareholders, holding six shares, had to draw appropriations, and the society would be terminated. The ballots were drawn by the following : Mrs. A. Ewington £300, J. G. Hunter £150, D". M'^eod £150, Z. M. Hoar, £300. Mr. Krahagen stated that ( he had been a director of the society since its, inception twenty-seven years ago, and chairman ol the board for tha past twenty-five years. Over £70,000 had been advanced to shareholders, free of- interest. When all appropriations have been paid out, a distribution of a share of the accumulated profits will be made. Jt was decided to make an active canvass for shares in the No. 2 Group of the No. 2 Society. At the annual'meeting of the Master, ton Horticultural Society last night, the following officers were elected : Patron, Mrs. C. F. Vallance; president, Mr. 11. V. Halse; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. P. Hugo and G. Masters;-commit-tee, Messrs. J. Henderson, F. P. Welch, E. Hale, J. Allan, A. G. Allan, W. T. Wilton, W. Kemp, T. Mauion; ladies' committee, Mesdames D. M. Gra* ham, P. Gordon, H. G. Moser, M. Trimble, B. V. Skeet, G. Williams, Johnston, W. M'Kenzie, S. L. P. Free,, D. Buchanun, Misses Cameron, M'Master, Henderson, Gray, E. Kobieson, and Perry; secretary, Mr. B. P. Welch; hon.. treasurer, Mr. J. Caselberg. A Rugby football match will be.played at Masterton on Saturday between tha Wellington College first fifteen and the Wairarapa High School.

At a meeting of the stewards of the South Wairarapa Trotting Club, it waa announced that the outstanding fees from the last race meeting were £22 10s, and the members' subscriptions in tha vicinity of £70. The tonnage output of checso at the various dairy factories in the Cartorlou district for lost season is as follows c Dalefield. 700 tons; Parkvale, 394; Belvedere, 231; Taratahi, 218; Atuaruhe, 155; Kokotau, 140; and Waihakeke, 124.' The Bid will (Lower Valley) factory' manufactured 247 tons. Only one of these factories have sold their output to the end of December, namely, Kokotau, who have sold at 9£d. The other factories wiil consign on their own account.

The poll taken in the Featherslon County on Wednesday on a proposal to raise a ly;in of £.12.000 for improvement* to Vie, main roads was carried by 297 voles against 68.
