WEATHER MAY IMPROVE
With the approach of another weekend, the prospects of an improvement in the weather conditions, which during the past few days has been depressing to a degree, are being discussed, and some comfort will be found in the foreoast issued to-day. In that forecast, there is an indication given of an mv provemerit after about J.wenty-four hours. Tile centre of tli-» disturbance, which has been causing all the trouble during tlia past few days, has made a move eastward of East Cape, and the barometer has risen everywhere since yesterday. Heavy ruin has been reportell on the East Coast of the* South Island. The outlook for the next twentyfour hours is for changeable and showery weather generally, with a very cold night. The weather should improve after about twenty-tour hours. The barometer has a rising tendency. Southerly winds, moderate to strong. m;iy be expected northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and auulh-eaßterlieo elsewhere. •
