ATTEMPT TO DEFINE THEIR POSITION. (Received 28tli August, 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, 27th August. Representatives of all the unions affiliated with the Labour Council are conferring to define their attitude to the seamen's strike. At a late hour they had not passed a resolution. The president of the Waterside Workers' Federation, addressing the conference, said his union would not take action until it had. seen what the other unions were doing.
