The centre of the disturbance, which bM dominated during the put lew days, hit moved eastward of East Cape, the barometer rising everywhere since yesterday. Strong southerly winds have prevailed, with cold, showery weather generally. Heavy rain bat been reported on the east coast o( the South. Island.
