The Australian ladies' tennis team met a French team to-day. The matches resulted as under, each nation winning three games :—
Mile. Eclair defeated Miss St. George, 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.; Miss Daphne Akhurst defeated Mile. Bourgeois, 3-6, 6-1, 8-6. Miss Boyd defeated Mile. V. ; Vlasto, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.
Mile." Lenglen defeated Mrs. Harper, 6-0, 6-4. , Mrs. Harper and Miss Akhurst defeated Miles. Eclair and Bourgeois, 6-1, 6-2.
Mies. Lenglen and Vlasto defeated Misses Boyd and St. George, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. ,
