TURRET EXPLOSION
ACCIDENT ON OKLAHOMA
ONE MAN KILLED AND SEVERAL
INJURED.
(UNITED TIIESS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIOHT,) .(6YD.VEY SUN CABLE.) (Received 27, th August, 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 26th August. An explosion occurred in a turret of the United States battleship Oklahoma on her way from New Zealand to Samoa. One man wae killed and several were injured.
Tho Oklahoma was one of the battleships which visited Wellington.
