SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Atmoipherlo pressure has increased in the Bouth since last night, and strong southerly winds have prevailed, gales being reported in the South Island. The weather has been cold, unsettled, and showery generally, and snow has fallen ou the higher levels.
