At the Police Court to-day, Gustav Hansen, Ernest John Brasting, and James Harold O'Brien were charged with converting to their own use a motor-car, valued at £300, the property of George R. Metcalfe, and were remanded till 27th August. The Chief Detective stated that the detectives had taken possession of sufficient explosives to blow all the business houses in Auckland to pieces. He opposed bail, which was refused.
