A WONDERFUL SHOW PROMISED
A wonderful show is promised Wellington on Saturday night between 8 and 9 o'clock, when the whole of the fleet, destroyers, and their auxiliaries, as well, as the ships now in port, will engage in a magnificent searchlight display. Nothing on such a scale, for ■ there'will be forty ships, each carrying several searchlights, has previously been done in a\ny New Zealand port, and the show will undoubtedly be worth coming a long way to see. In a sense it will be the fleet's farewell to Wellington, for the programme of entertainments will by then have been completed, though ■the -shore leave men will still be ■ the guests of the citizens and visitors to the ships the guests of the officers and men on Sunday.
