ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE COMPANY. *
■At the formal beginning of the erection oE a new gasholder at Miramar, yesterday, Sir Harold Beauchamp, chairman of the company, announced that the policy of the company had always been to provide cheap gas. He was pleased to say the directors had decided to further reduce the price of gas from Ist October by 2d per 1000 cubic feet, making the net prico 7s "Id per 1000 cubic feet.
