DE LUXE THEATRE.
An actress, famous in vaudeville, is "The Lady," tho central character of the foature' film screening at tho De Luxo Theatre each evening. Norma Talmadgo, a great emotional actress, occupies tho title role and gives a very fine performance, especially during the climax on the battle-soaereel fields of France. It is a remarkable story, in which a stage beauty, with no education "or domesticity to aid her, marries a nobleman who eventually leaves her because she is unable to live up to the new conditions of her life. Her child is taken from her. as she is considered to bo unfit to look after it. She proves, however, that there is good in her, and she fights for those she loves, even when her heart is broKca. The supporting films include a picture of the arrival of the American Fleet in Wellington and the parade through the streets. The music has been exceptionally well chosen, and includes Auber's "Masaniello" as an overture and Jarnefelt's "Prelude" at the interval.
