DANCER'S ROMANCE
Quite unawares, and in very romantio circumstances, Sydney has been entertaining the foremost of America's stage dancers, a charming young woman whose art, whose youth and beauty, and whoso lovely frocks have captivated the Con r tinent as well as her own country—Miss Leonora Hughes, now on her honeymoon in Australia as Mrs. Carlos Basnaldo, wife of a South American cattle king. Unlike not a few stars in the theatrical firmament, Mrs. Basnaldo dodged publicity, until one of the Sydney newspapers discovered her living quietly with her husband in one of the leading* hotels. Although an American, she .did not fig. nre prominently in the fleet celebrations. In fact, the picture shows are said to be the chief enjoyment of Mr. and Mrs. Basnaldo, who met in Paris, and were married in New York. Mrs. Basnaldo had the reputation of being one of th» prettiest women ever seen on the American stage. One Continental paper has acclaimed her as "a living poem of youth and beauty." .•■ ■ . ..r
