RESULTS ELSEWHERE
Adverse weather conditions ruled in many places on Saturday where Rugby is played, and in consequence matches had to be postponed. At. Christchurch and Dunedin heavy rain fell all day, the same happening in many of. the smaller centres. The following are the results of senior games in centres where it was possible to play :■ —

MASTERTON, 9th August. Red Star 9, Carterton 0; Gladstone 17, Masterton 12; Featheraton forfeited to Martinborough.
NELSON, 9th August. Rival 19, Nelson.6; Waimea 33, Old Boys nil.
OAMARU, 9th. August. North Otago defeated the country representatives by 9 points to 5. The ground was heavy, i;ain falling during the game.
