The Union Company has received a wirtlesi message from tlie Moerakl stating that til* vessel expects to arrive In the stream it 0.30 p.m. to-morrow from Sydney. When granted pratique the vessel will berth at No. 1 north, Queen's Wharf.

THE CANADIAN BRITISHER.

The Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Britisher has wirelessed that she expects to arrive at Auckland to-morrow from Montreal. The 'vessel has c»rgo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.

Mr. C. McL. Smith has succeeded Mr. F. L. Petereou as second engineer of the. Gale. Mr. F. Clennell is now second of the Kaliika, vice Mr. F. F. Fryc. Mr. C. Johnston has replaced Mr. H. Moar as second mate of the Kakapo. Mr. J. Jl'Caskell has joined the vesiel ■> third mate.

The steam trawler Awarua is expected to leave Wellington thli evening for Chatham Islands.
