A pleasant little ceremony took place during the supper interval at the recent Ngaio Hall opening ball. Mr. N. M'Arthur, on behalf of the young people of Ngaio, presented Mr. H. L. Ciimmings with a s set of pipes suitably inscribed, ns a memento of the fine work he; had accomplished in forwarding the claims of the diet riot iov » new hall.
