A rumour was in circulation in Petone this morning that a body was to be seen floating in the Korokoro Bight. The Petone police, however, "after % very thorough search in the locality^ found nothing. According to a Press Association message, the secretary of the Dunedin branch of the Seamen's Union sent a telegram to the Minister of Marine yesterday morning, demanding that the Department should compel a', survey 1 to' ■be Jiiado of the Waimarino before she is allowed to leave Port Chalmers/ It is suggested that if tho survey is not made the vessel may not leave Port' Chalmers.
