STRAND THEATRE.
The leading role in "Cornered," now showing at the .'Strand Theatre, is a dual characterisation, that of twin sisters. Both sisters live in different worlds, one in poverty and tho other in wealth, and each does not know of the other's existence. Miss Marie Provost, as tho twins, ia at her best in a characterisation which Beerna strangely suited to her. \"Modern Matrimony" is the second feature, starring Owen Moore and Alice Lake. The supporting pro- ' gramme is exceptionally good.
