MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Mi-. J. G. L. Hewitt, S M presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day. A lint offender charged with drunkenness was convicted and discharged. Benjamin Norman Campbell, alias Campbell Benjamin who assaulted Edith. -Maud Fitchett, a lodging-house keeper was fined£2 10s. For drunkenness he was convicted and discharged. Charles Raymond Watson", who was charged with failing to make application for registration of a firearm, was fined ss.
A remand .to 24th Juna was granted in the case of Thomas Langton Wilkinson, who was charged with the theft of a bicycle valued at £8 10s from Joseph Watson Gibson.
In a reserved decision yesterday Mr O. R. On- Walker, S.M., lined Tliomas Michael Burke £2 on a charge of negligently driving a, motor-car in Kiddiford street.
At a sitting of tho Mount Cook Police Court yesterday, before Mr. G. Fownes, J.P., a first offender for drunkenness was fined ss, in default twentyfour hours' imprisonment. This morning, before Mr. W. H. Coy, J.P. another first offender had his bail estreated (10s).
