QUEEN'S THEATRE.

J. K. M'Donald's First National pic tare, "Frivolous Sal," is the special attraction at the Queen's Theatre. Eugene O'Brien is ideally cast in a thrillingstory of a pioneer mining town of the West, in which a girl and a small boy help a man to find himself. Some of the story's most important action takes place in a huge cavern that a stream of melting ice has carved out under the famous ...Nisqually Glacier, near the top of Mount Kainer. An added attraction is an eccentric dancing act by Mr. Phil Barry and Miss Hazel Martin. The turn is one of the most novel ever presented in Wellington. The supporting programme is a particularly attractive one. The box plan is at The Bristol until 5 p.m., afterwards at the theatre. Hollywood and New York's Broadway unite their dramatic strength in "Love's Wilderness," in which First National will present Corinne Griffith, on Friday. In this picture are two prominent Broadway stage players, who were brought to Hollywood to create the leading male roles. They are Holmes Herbert and lan Keith. Another stage celebrity in the- cast is Maurice Cannon. Cannon was brought over _by First National from France, where he was leading juvenile with the Comedie Francaise in Paris. This picture presents tlje lovely Corinne ir a new dramatic element, totally diffei. in spirit from that of "Black Oxen" and "Likes of the Field," in which sha scored tremendously. It is the story of a young Southern girl who runs away with an adventurer and' takes her' through scenes in Canada and the South Seas. There will be a special wilderness prologue by the pupils of Miss Cresßell Vaughan, ballets and vocal items being given by the little ones. Matinee performances will be held on Saturday at 2.30, and on the following Wednesday, 3rd June. The bos plan is now open at The Bristol for the entire 'season of six nights and two matinees.
