ASHES TO LIE IN STATE
(SYDNEI SUN CABLE.)
LONDON, 24th May. After the cremation of the body of the Earl of Ypres, the ashes will lie in state in the Guards' Chapel at Wellington Barracks for 24 hours, during which the public will be admitted. ■ They then will be removed to Westminster Abbey, where an impressive service will be held. Afterwards a military procession will convey the ashes to Victoria Station, for interment at Ripple.
