Captain F. A. Maclndoe, secretary, Merchant Service Guild of New Zealand, returned to Wellington from the South this morning.

Captain G, B. Bates, master of the Huddart Parker steamer Nairana. arrived this morning from Sydney by the tUimaroa ou Holiday leave.

Captain A. W. Creese has been appointed master of the Kaitahgata.

Captain J. Thomson has relieved Captain H. Dryden as master of the Navua during the latter"s absence on sick leave.

Captain G. B. Morgan is now in command of the Waitemata.

The Waitomo sailed this morning for Newcastle to load for Auckland.

The Kaituna is due at Auckland to-morrow from South Australian ports, via Melbourne.

The Kui.tangiita leaves to-day for Greymouth, Westport, aud Melbourne. She proceeds to Hobart to load for Dunedii), Lyttelton, and Auckland.
