SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Anticydonic conditions hiivo ruled, and the weather has been cold and fair to cloudy in most parts,, but a depression, apparently located northward of East Cape, lias accounted for cloudy skies in the Kast Coast districts and some scattered rain ou the east coast of the North Island. Moderate to strong southerly winds have prevailed northwards of Westport and Kaikoura, and li«ht and variable breezes southwards. °
