EMPIRE DAY
Yesterday, 24th May, was the 104 th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria but Empire Day is bein s celebrated to-day. Flags are being flown on all Government buildings, and at noon a Royal SSalute was fired from the Alexandra Barracks. The Government holiday for the occasion -will be observed on 3rd June, the King's Birthday.
