LABOUR CANDIDATE CHOSEN.
It was announced to-day officially thai Mr. J. S. Mont&omerie, of Mangere, has been adopted unanimously as the Labour candidate for the Franklin soat, and that Ins candidature has been endorsed f.v tho rsational Executive of the Labour I'artv Mr. Montgomerio will open his campaign at Otahulm to-night. It is understood that a Reform meeting is being held in Auckland to-day' to f ?i MLennan, the two aspirants for candidature in tho Reform interests
