TEtEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) -.... '. OHAKUNE, This Day. _ Hood damage in the Ohakune Borough includes two bridges demolished and two seriously damaged. The road has been washed away for two chains, and a large subsidence lias occurred at the approach to the;.bridge on.the. main road, to Raelihi.- It is estimated the damage will amount to £2000. A heavy bus laden "with passengers had a miraculous escape-from being engulfed in the road The bus had barely passed the spot,when a hole opened, and a youth on a.bicycle was,engulfed,.but was extricated, without much difficulty. The rain continues, thus' keeping the rivers high.
