(REUTERS TELEGRAM.) . BRUSSELS, 22nd May. : "After their defeat in the Chamber Ministers met and forwarded their resignations to the King. BRUSSELS, 23rd May. : The Liberal Burgomaster Max, who moved the vote of censure upon the >andevyvere Ministry, has agreed to attempt to solve the crisis. He has announced his intention of first examining the possibilities of forming a Ministry outside Parliament, as a temporary measure.
Burgomaster Adolph Max came into great prominence in th 0 early days of the war, when he dealt in a masterly way with tho situation created by tho German occupation of Brussels, and succeeded in maintainingl to an extraordinary extent the independence of the city. He was elected to the Chamber o£ Representatives in 1919.
