Tho miners' secretary, Mr. Cook, in a series of speeches at the week-end, prophesied the greatest industrial struggle before -the end of the year, involving the miners, railwaymen, dockers, and engineers. His only fear, he said, was that the miners would in the meantime get frightened into a settlement which would damn tho whole Labour movement.
