EMPRESS THEATRE.
Monte Bine and Beverly Bayne have the stellar roles in the pidurisation of Owen Davis's famous play, "Her Marriage Vow," which is "now screenm" at the Empress Theatre this week. The author has skillfully portrayed the disasters which may result from trivial misunderstandings iv married life. Carol HiltoD, happily married and with two children, to whom both she and her husband, Bob Hilton, are devoted, cannot appreciate why lie prefers to be a slave to his work instead of seeking the gaiety and excitement to which she has been accustomed. Accordingly, when the tempter,, in the form of a "former suitor, Ted Alden, presses his attentions upon her with all the accompanying luxury and enjoyment he can offer, she fliugs discretion to tin. winds, more from a desire to arouse her husband's jealousy . than to seriously estrange him. Explanations follow, and happiness is achieved. Included in the talented cast are Margaret Livingston, John Roche, and Willard Louis. The supports are. an hilarious Mack Sennett comedy with Ben Tnrpin in the lead, a travelogue, and Topical Budget. The Empress Syhphony Orchestra renders excellent incidental music, among the enjoyable items being Friedmann's "Slavonic Bbapsody."
