WEEK-END ACCIDENTS
PATIENTS PROGRESSING FAVOUR-
ABLY,
A single man named Roderick M'Kae, who (is employed as a, storeman by tho D.1.C., was knocked down by a motorcar in front of "The Evening Post" on Saturday night. He was admitted to the Hospital at 8.30 o'clock, suffering from injuries to his leg, and to-day was reported to bo progressing favourably. He lives at 20, Jackson-street, Island Bay. Tlijse in the vicinity at the time of. tho occurrence seemed to think that the ambulanco was slow in answering the summons, and when it finally did arrive, it was greeted with cheers.
William Hedges, a, married man, 27 years of age, sustained a broken leg while playing in the_ Selwyn-Marist football match on the Miramar Polo Ground. He was admitted to the Hospital at 5.20 o'clock, and is making satisfactory progress; The injured man lives at *Sefton road, Miramar.
