The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cable from its London offlce, dated 22nd May, advising Smithfleld delivered prices at that date as follow;— N.Z. Wethers and Maidens—Canterbury quality, selected brands, 50 and under, Bid: 57 to 04, 7Jd; Co to 72, Old. Other brands, 50 and under, 8d; 57 to 64, 7d; 65 to 72, CM. N.Z. Ewes—64 and under, 5Jd. N.Z. Lamb—Canterbury quality, 36 and under, 12id; 37 to 42, UJd; 43 to 50, lOJd; seconds, lljd; selected brands, 30 and under 12jd; 37 to 42, lljd. Other brauds, first quality, 42 and under, ll{d; seconds ll^d N.Z. B«of—Ox fores, 3Jd; ox hinds' 5Jd ■ 'cow fores 3d, cow hinds 4Jd. : Argentine Chilled Beef—Ox fores. 34d; ok hinds, 65d. Frozen Beef: Ox fores, SJd; ox hinds, 5Jd. • : Frozen Pork—l2o to 1801b, Sid. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received tho following cablegram .from their London house, under date 22nd instant :-"New Zealand ' Frozen Meat—Lamb, ]]{d per II) (average). Market slow. Mntton, wether and maiden ewe, light 8d per lb, heavy Gid per lb; ewe li"ht 6d per lb, hen.vy. s*d per lb. Small demand." The Bank of Now Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advicp from its London office, under date 22ud May:—"The market for wethers is expected to. remain steady at the reduced quotations There i 3 a little better demand for ewes. Lamb market is quiet and uucVin-fd. Beef market is depressed owing to heavy arrivals Argentine. Wethers, light 7d to Sid per lb heavy 5Jd to 62d; owes, 4Jd to 6}d; lanis, under 42's Hid to J2Jd, over 42's 10! dto llrf, seconds ll^d to 12d; ox hinds 5d to old. fores 3d to 3Jd;. cow hinds 4Jd to 4-Jd, fores 2ld to 3d."
