The pohcy of giving Haydn's dramatic oratorio, "The Creation," is one that will appeal to all adherents of good ausic. This oratorio, which will be f lVe£ at T,tho Town Hall next Saturday bT the Royal Wellington Choral Union, u"der, th? baton of Mr. Temple White, abounds m delightful solos and choruses, 7." not? d for the dramatic intensity of the music. A strong cast of soloists has been secured, headed by Mr. Hariaon Cook the English basso cantante, whose remarkable voice should be heard to advantage m Roaming and Foaming Bil"J; ,an. d the other numbers allotted to the bass. Mrs. J. F. Woodward will sing the soprano solos, while the tenor role wiU be sustained by Mr. J. Hadland, of Oreymouth, a recent arrival h?U Y^h A full J-<*earsal will be held at St. John's on Monday next. The box plan opens at The Bristol on Tuesday, at 9 o clock.
