WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB

CARTERTON, This Day. A meeting of the stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club was held at Feathcrston yesterday, Mr. W. E. Bidwill presiding. The statement of finances showed:—Fixed deposit, £1000; war bond, £1000; receipts since last meeting, £145; credit balance at -bank, £1152 0s sd. Applications were recommended as under:—Appentice license, J. Gunn; jockeys' licenses, H. A. Godfrey and J. E. Walker; trainers' liconses, J. A. Farmer, P. E. Hazleman, and H. S. Crawford. Tenders are to be called for the erection of fourteen stalls and six feed-rooms. The action of the Course Committee in makingseveral alterations to the course was adopted. Two groynes which were damaged by the floods are to receive attention. Conditions relating to the caretaker's duties as. recommended by the Course Committee were approved.
