ATTEMPT TO LYNCH NEGROES.

t (Received 23rd Mary, 10 a.m.) . JSTEW YORK, 22nd May. A case of attempted lynching is reported from Texas. Frank and Lorenzo Noel, negro brothers, confessed that they had tilled Ryan Atkins and assaulted a woman companion. A mob of five thousand stormed the gaol gates Thirty shots were exchanged, and one man.was killed Seventy-five police and firemen, armed with machine guns, shotguns, tearbombs, and a firehose, finally dispersed the attackers.
