SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The popularity of the entertainments provided by the Sailors' Friend Society was seen on Thursday, when the men entered with zest into the proceedings. Every provision had been made for. their enjoyment by their hostesses, the Misses Shepherd. The performers were Mrs. Logan, the Mises Gwen' Shepherd-, J. Briggs, Huia Shepherd, and Messrs. C. Greeir, W. C. Crewes, A. Blackc-y, Jones, and B.iines.- Miss Huia Shepherd was at the piano. As usual the competitions filled a happy, nicho in tho programme; the prizes came from Mrs. H.
