At the sittings of the Senate of the University of New Zealand, which were continued to-day, the report of the Arts and Commerce Committee was presented. The committee'recommended that examiners for the B.A. examinations at the pass grade in 192S in the subjects of English, Latin, Greek, Greek history, art and literature, Hebrew, French, German, Spanish, history, political science, economics, philosophy, education and music, be appointed as recommended in the report of the Wellington committee. It was decided that the list of examiners suggested by the Wellington Recess Committee for appointment in 1926-27-28 be forwarded to the Board of Studies for its information and report. The recommendation of the Arts and Commerce Committee that examiners in economic geography for B.Com. be Mr. E. K. Lomas, M.Sc, and another to ba appointed by the Chancellor, was adopted. It was left to the Chancellor to make the appointment of examiners for ship^ ping and insurance diplomas.
